Project and Tech Page Classy Bagger Build Page
|
This page will give you a little insight into building
a reliable TWIN CAM Bagger or Dyna or Softail
with plenty of pulling power to get you past those
dangerous situations. Whether traveling solo or
with the person of your dreams, "You need the
torque to get you out of harms way" Getting
yourself and your partner out of trouble doesn't
come without investment. Keeping that
investment to parts that make sense, is what this
page is all about. No this will not be for everyone,
but we are not trying to build a motor for
everyone. If you like it, use the information. .
We only hope this will help you out and please
leave us feedback about what you see here.
As far as the products we are using here, we have
no other affiliation other than we did research
and decided to use what you see us installing. We
checked our numbers for what we wanted to
achieve and came up with this build. We got
nothing for using their products and we paid full
price for everything we installed or had done to
components . This page is not an advertisement
for the products or for the vendors, but we used
their products because we believed them to be the
best for the money.
The next thing we have to mention is this.
We will not do business with anyone or
recommend their products unless they offer the
best in customer service and satisfaction. What
that means is, if we get a "GOOD" price and find
the customer service and follow-up satisfaction to
be second to non, you see the products here. We
want you to understand that. We only want what
most people want, to be happy with price and
service !!
PRICE is not the only consideration when buying
Customer satisfaction is what keeps people loyal
to either a product or a vendor. Harley Davidson
realizes that and so do we. We only deal with
those who support and offer this built in value.
Anything else is only second best and when we
choose second best, we always find ourselves
wondering "What If" Thats also what we believe
in and what we hope to offer you, the customer.

OK Lets start at the bottom and work our way up top

The bottom end of my project bike, my 2003 Road King Classic, the reason this whole plan came together. I wanted a drop
dead Road King and wanted to turn my own wrench. For me that meant designing, fabricating and making each individual part
from hand. ( fiberglass that is ) For those that grew up under the shade tree with a father like mine, you learn quickly "what
you can do for yourself, makes you stand alone among others" My dad was very independent and I learn that from him. He
would try anything once, even if he had no clue what he was doing, because he didn't want to depend on someone else for
something he could do for himself. He never became a rocket engineer, but he and my mom raised me to believe in myself and
to never be afraid to do what you wanted to do, because you had no experience. After seeing me do the things in my life that I
have, at some point I know they must have been nervous as hell. You know that old saying ," be careful what you ask for",
because they have gotten more than they asked for with me.
Thanks Mom and Dad, We all love you !!!!!
The bottom of my 2003 Road King Classic Twin Cam, after coming home from R & R Cycle up in Manchester New
Hampshire. The cases were split and a Timkin Bearing conversion done. Assembled with new cam bearings. Cylinders are
decked for squish and also bored oversize to 95 inch & .010 over. (3.885) Notice the diamond cut fins. ( Diamond Heads,
Henderson Nevada ) Pistons are JE forged pop tops around 10 1/2 compression. R & R will need your pistons for final
honing of the cylinder walls, a must for serious builders. The overall compression ratio we are looking to obtain is aprox. 11
1/2 to 1 for the R & R Cycle 615 cam set. The heads you will see are stock Harley Davidson 2006 Twin Cam, that I polish
and port. I also use the stock Bee Hive springs, locks and retainers. The small diameter light weight valves and Bee Hive
springs, make a great set of mild heads. The heads are also decked at R & R Cycle and machined for compression
releases. A word here about R & R Cycle. If you are looking for a shop to contact about Twin Cam or any Harley engine
needs, talk to Reggy Jr. or Sr. They talk to you, no bull involved. They will talk to you about what you are looking for and can
help you get it done and they are truly "REAL PEOPLE" They are a complete machine service shop and build their own
super EPA Certified billet motors and everything you can imagine and some things you won't imagine. Its worth the freight. I
drive hours just to go and talk to them. Their service is absolutely second to none. If my shop was like theirs, I would never
leave it ! See their link here and go in for a visit.
